Red Halos Finally Installed

So after a lot of work my Halos are installed and looking amazing!!!!

A BIG thank you goes out to Mike (Junior), Mario (shakennotstirred) and Taira (Tairas2) for helping me with this install with out them it would not have been possible.

We wired the halos to 2 switches. One for the Headlights and one for the Fogs. Also I went with Red as a contrast to my body color of Magnesium Pearl and to tie in with my Engine cover that Damian (skippytrailer) is working on....

I LOVE MY HALOS!!!!!

To anyone thinking of this mod, please do not think that it is super easy but none of the bad compares to how great the finished product looks!!!

Please let me know what you think.....also please note I am still learning how to use my new camera and I am definitely having to learn how to take pictures of my Halos....

If I remember correctly. In California they are illegal. Only emergency vehicles are allowed. I am not sure about Arizona.

Same here. When the washer sprayers w/ LED's were a fad on all the ricers - they all got busted for forward facing red or blue lights.

As long as i dont drive with the red halos on i think i will be cool. I mean you can see the red rings with them off but it kinda just looks like red paint until you turn them on so i think i will be cool with them.

No the switches did not come with them....I got them from Radio shack they were like 3.99 each....a small price for a nice switch!!

I guess I dont understand why all the comments about them being illegal... he has already stated they are for show only. And you dont go through this much trouble/expense and the whole install process without thinking about these things ahead of time.

I simply posted this thread to share with my LX family my awesome new mod and i have to say its a bit annoying to keep getting told how illegal it is.

I am a pretty clever individual and I understand that it is illegal to drive with the red lights on and that is why i said these are only for show......

If anyone else has a comment about how illegal these are please keep it to yourself or simply read the whole thread and you will see that it almost seems like the fact they are illegal is out weighing the fact that this mod is....

I have been driving with them installed but not "ON" and I seem to be doing fine....I will update all if i end up getting in trouble for it....

Meh I don't think you will get to much hassle from the cops even if they are on.

I had those freakin red washer lights on my old Neon (and yes it looked and sounded like a ricer :doh:in my younger days) but I passed many cops and such and in the 5 years I only got one ticket from them being on. I don't think that he would have pulled me over if I hadn't squaked the tires around a corner. :blam:


Back on track those halos look sick....me likes alot!!! What was the install time and difficulty level to put them on??

If i wouldnt have had any broken Halo trouble I think the whole install can be done in 2-4 hours depending on how you do the install.
