I can probably bring her down a bit more, but wanted to be on the conservative side at the advice of some others that had some rubbing issues with the recommended height.

Thanks again to HHP for the quick delivery and great service as usual.

And thanks to MrHemi2U, bklynMag and Johzmgnm for helping with the install!

Yup... it looks like you could lower it a fair bit more without any issues. Lookin' good though! :thumbs_u:

Yeah, LowGo's slammed onto the ground, more or less. Did you keep it up high due to your style of driving or needs?

Either way... good show. Thats got to be a sea change in handling for that car. How do you like the suspension? Did you snug the ride up tight or let them stay softer?

Went with KW recommendation for AWD. 3 turns rear, 1 turn front.

Art had some rubbing issues with 20's and the offset he had... my 20's don't stick out as far as Arts but they do stick out beyond the fender a hair.

My shocks were shot, so its a huge handling improvement. much stiffer.

Thanks LowGo... Do you have the V2's? What do you have them set to...

Did you have to roll your fenders or anything?

My drop was two inches all around and has settled slightly,I am still running 18" and have to watch steep curbs. Looks good but looks like you can safely drop more if you choose to.

Looks good!...welcome to the KW club! I have set my ride height a couple times now. I started with about an inch and a half gap with my 275/40/20s. It cornered fantastic and was great at the track for keeping the front end down but it was a little harsh, especially for the rear seat passengers. I have brought it up a smidge a couple times and have settled on 1 3/4"" in the front and 2 1/4"" in the back for a little forward rake. Both my daughters have voiced appreciation for this adjustment. I like the look better with the forward rake as well, it kind of looks SRT8ish now. It is a little looser in the corners but a better fit for all of my driving. I have got some spring rubbers to keep is stiff for my runs at the track. No rubbing issues at any of the ride heights I've tried.

I would definitely suggest getting to the tight and twisties as soon as possible and burning up a couple tanks of gas!:beerchug:The KWs really turn these cars into sports cars for handling!

Looks great man. Mines a lot lower and does not rub anywhere...yours still looks nice just the way it is though

It will settle down after you run it a while Mike. Mine started with the same adjustments in the rear and 10mm lower in the front. I had to raise mine up a little in the front but left the rears alone. This is where she settled out at.

So funny I just installed mine as well this week and my 22's just arrived on Wed. I have a one finger gap and no issues. Waiting to get the camera back from the gf so I can post some pics

Went with KW recommendation for AWD. 3 turns rear, 1 turn front.if you ever want to play with it, the safe 'firm' setting is 1/2 turn out from full 'firm'. You can't go all the way or you'll blow out the seals. this setting is what I use pretty much all the time and its gotten a lot of track time. Maybe you can go tighter but I never had the stones to try it. Back in the day when I used to lighten it up for passengers, I took it out to 1/2 turn away from the other extreme.

Your wheel offset never occurred to me. I guess you'll have to watch your fenderwells and tires for signs of scrubbing.

No, I don't have the V2's. I'm still running the stock shocks with the air bags. I've found on mine that if I fit 2 fingers between the tire and fender I don't have any rubbing issues. Anything less, and I can catch the fender with the tire if I hit a bump going around a corner hard.

After having my car inspected at a Pedders day we had here recently, I've actually started running mine a little higher, as it was lower than what they recommend for the AWD's, due to the angle of the front drive shafts.

They also seem to have specific recommendations for the AWD as well. Softer in the rear than in the front. I'm really not sure what the engineering is behind that.

Based on the pix in your sig... doesn't look like you can fit 2 fingers under the car let alone under the wheel well. I assume you don't run around with that height.

That looks more like it art... how long did it take to settle?

You're going to laugh at me... the driver's side corner seems is about 1/4" higher than the other corners. Think that's because we went for a test drive... and I'm a light weight in that corner? LOL

I've never heard of a recommended minimum ride height for the front. How high (or low) did they suggest?

No, I don't drive at that height. I would definitely take out my front fenders if I tried to turn!

I've never heard of a recommended minimum ride height for the front. How high (or low) did they suggest?

The height is based on the angle of the front drive shaft and what Pedders feels is a "safe" operating height to prevent premature wear to axle joints. The more you lower the front end, the more the drive shafts angle up toward the wheels. I didn't get an exact height, just that they recommend only going as low as a stock SRT8. The lowering springs/shocks they are coming out with for the AWD will be set to this safe height. The only visible signs we could see on my car was where one of the boots covering a joint was rubbing against itself because of the upward angle of the drive shaft.

I've never heard of a recommended minimum ride height for the front. How high (or low) did they suggest?

It was in the KW instructions as a recommended starting point. They provided the adjustment in terms of amount of thread showing on the shock adjustment. I recall 55mm off the top of my head. Art had some rubbing at that height... so we went with 62mm.

I don't know what that will translate to as far as amount drop from stock height. Anyone know?

As in... how many turns of the spanner wrench equal what increment of height?

I don't remember how long, It took a while. Be patience.

Mine are set at max height in the rear and 5MM above minimum setting in the front. Very slight rake and about an inch lower (all the way around) than a stock RT RWD. Looks good and handles great. No wear issues or problems at all. Been lowered for almost two years now. Gotta go slow through big dips and steep driveways. I love my KW's.
