Despite many phone calls, emails and conversations with their "customer service" representatives (Shawn) and their sales rep (Tee). WHEELMAX continues to give me the runaround. Their address is advertised on their website as:
8501 NW 17th St
Suite 129
Miami, FL 33126
Here is what happened:
I found wheels I love from WHEELMAX bought them online at www.wheelmax.com (http://www.wheelmax.com). They advertise themselves as America's largest mail-order wheel and tire company. I also ordered two new tires to match the ones I purchased from a member and had everything shipped to my dealer/installer in Delaware where I was going to have other work done.
I dropped off my MAGNUM SRT at my dealer a week ago. The dealer was going to add TPMS to the wheels before mounting, balancing and installing them.
Problem #1: WHEELMAX did not send the advertised hubcentric rings or lugs with the wheels. No problem, I purchased new ones from the dealer.
Problem #2: The Dodge TPMS sensors wouldn't work with the wheels. No problem, the dealer picked up aftermarket TPMS sensors.
Problem #3: The aftermarket TPMS sensors ordered by the dealer wouldn't work either. No problem, I told the dealer to disable TPMS and use standard valve stems.
Problem #4: Despite guaranteeing fitment for my MSRT, the wheel hit on the front calipers. No problem, Shawn at WHEELMAX said just use 5mm spacers.
Problem #5: Despite trying spacers up to 9/16", the wheels still wouldn't clear the calipers. No problem, I thought, I'll contact WHEELMAX for a refund and purchase new wheels that fit.
Problem #7: Shawn at WHEELMAX won't refund my money or offer a replacement until the ill-fitting wheels are shipped back. But he said he would email me the return shipping label and have FedEX picke up the wheels for return. He said as soon as I gave him the return shipping number, he would credit back my purchase price ($1355).
Five days later, despite calling WHEELMAX every day, WHEELMAX has not sent the return shipping label or instructions.
I called my credit card company and filed a dispute against WHEELMAX. My credit card company said it may take as long as 60 days to resolve this. In the meantime, my dealer has the wheels, WHEELMAX has my money and I am trying to remain patient and forgiving.
SHAME ON YOU WHEELMAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope no one else loses money to this company.
Can any of my Florida LX family help me out?
