View Full Version : Eibach camber kit installation.
Has anyone done a thread on the installation?. I've never seen one. I'm putting mine on this weekend. So if not, I'll do one if anyone is interested.

cam, let me know how it turns out.
Welp thigh man....when ya done did lowered youse ride. It'll straighten dem dare wheels right the heck back out.
Also, it appears the front upper A arms have adjustability for camber too. Not exactly sure yet, haven't unwrapped them. I'll let ya know. And if that's the case, way cool super bad. I'll be able to dial in my ride for both big high speed tracks and tight tracks. So that'll make me a very happy camper. :thumbs_u:

I did it but didn't post a thread...(i don't think)..
Cam....quick question... have you had your car aligned within the closest possible spec so you know where to set your front control arm caster/camber to??
I aligned mine prior to installation of control arms and did the math for caster/camber adjustment via alignment numbers. I went back to alignment shop to check if my numbers held up and was in spec no adjustment needed afterward.
If numbers are off after installation no big deal just remove tire and 120 ft.lb torqued nut and just slide it for camber. Ball joint will have to be removed down from arm (no biggie) and rotated if caster is off.
Oh and a picture post on this would be appreciated by all since people like me havent done so.
Great info Mike. No I didn't get the specs. I'm gonna do the ole fashioned method with a tape measure, string and duct tape and hope for the best.
Actually, I intend on taking measurements and angle readings prior too. I know my toe is dead on and caster is at factory setting. The way my suspenion and tire choose is, my car is completely neutral. So what I plan on doing is dialing it in camber at 1-1.5 degrees. I have that technology. Then for caster, I'll build some sort of quick attachment bracket to attain an arbitrary angle for caster. Then I'll try to match that value with my installation. After I'm done, I'll take it in for allignment and have it dialed in if needed.
But, the next track day depending on type of track. I'll use the bracket and my measurements to adjust my camber for the conditions. Also I'm going to borrow a scale set to adjust the swaybar end links and try to balance her just a tad better,
We'll see what happens, pretty good chance I'm just pissing in the wind :loser:
And ya, lots of pictures.

so... wtf went down? i just picked up my eibach tubular front upper A arms and going to the allignment guy this week.
It's a very long story. I will post up all the details in a couple days when I have time to write it up. But basically, with all the drop I had. I needed to install the offset bushes on the front of the traction arm too which meant dropping the cradle and I said F-it. This was required to get my toe back in line. I never did the fronts because I decided to go back to stock. More later.
BTW, Mikespy is 1000% correct. Take it to the shop first and find out where your at.

i had jeff @ stokes tire , santa monica do this one...major allignment deal. these are great replacements of the front upper A arm and upper ball joint. my allignment guy dialed my front camber @ -1.8 wich should help the handling out.

I don't understand, this kit gives you the adjusment for camber where before there was none, right?

yes. before the only way to adjust camber was lowering/ raising your suspension. it also lets you adjust the caster.

you can use it to take the camber out to save your tires , or give it more negative camber for better tire grip in hard turns. there is a set up for the rear but its not an A arm and its not as adjustable.i think its actually a rear , forward control arm bushing that comes in a .75 degree or a 1.5 degree adjustment.

Thanks for the input, I have a problem with my camber in the front, it's -0.7 on the right and -0.4 on the left and I want to try and get it more in-line. -0.7 still seems like it could cause tire wear. I also heard there a camber bolt kit available through MOPAR, has any one user it?
Your front cradle is off to one side. I had this problem with the rear too. BTW, I'm selling the entire kit, never did install the fronts and the rear offset bushes only have a couple k miles on them if anyone is interested.

I installed the rear camber busings on my ride after installing the stock SRT springs, since my rear camber was way off. My front caster on the passenger side was off and my shop guy at the time didn't know how to fix it. Not even the SRT tech at the dealership. So i drove around with the steering wheel a little off center for a while and unfortunate tire wear. I finally went back to my guy, after buying some new tires, and he told me that he finally figured out how to fix my caster. Within 20 minutes all my wheel camber, toe and and caster were in the green. Since then, my tires have thanked me for it. No uneven tire wear and my steering wheel is dead straight!
BTW, cam, no i did not do a write up on it even though i was preeching the rear camber kit when speciality products came out with it.
