Well what a fun few months of voting this has been. When my FRIENDs Jonzmgnm and 1fast4dr/Scott started this whole "get Dan LXOM" campaign, I was a little embarrassed. After a couple months of losing, Im not so embarrassed
Everyone that I have been nominated with are more than deserving of LXOM and I hope they get their due credit. We have had some fantastic participation recently and it shows how many good people we have as members.
Now what exactly do you say when asked for a "write up". Pretty easy in my case, talk about everyone else, lol. This forum has given me FRIENDs and I don't mean people you know and have met, I mean true FRIENDs.
I purchased my charger in February 2006, joined LXForums in May and thats when the fun began, lol. Just like everyone else I was in search of mods, mods and more mods. First mod, NITROUS!!!!!!! Heck, I got nitrous on the car before I even had the first oil change Since then, well you guys know the rest. Now that I have pretty much purchased every mod out there, I spend my time getting my FRIENDs to do the same. My latest victim is NYCSRT8/Will Sorry FRIEND, its a disease, lol.
It would be silly of me not to mention the track. After a year of thinking about it luckily I mustered up enough courage to take my car to the track. My first time ever with any car was on April 14th 2007. I had the car for over a year at this point and I figured it was time to see what she could do. My FRIENDs Lee and Trish from Frank Racing flew out from Texas to meet everyone and I had the privilege of having them stay at my house. I had read so much about Englishtown and the LXForums/High Horse Performance sponsored mopar events that were held there. Boy was I nervous, lol. My first ever run and I was gonna spray too, hehe. After loads of advice from my fellow competitors, I lined up against NYCSRT8/Will. I waited for the tree to start and before I knew it, Will was like 200 feet down the track and I was still kinda thinking about going, lol. That was lesson one of about 300 :-) After a few more runs I started to get the hang of it and felt comfortable enough to actually take the time to get to know the other racers. Thats when I met Hemi31/Erik, Carfinish/Stell, BrilliantBlackHemi/Robert, Jonzmgnm/John and numerous others. Wow, what nice people. Heck, my first round of eliminations, my battery died from my nitrous heater and Stell came to the rescue with a jumper box. These guys were great, exactly my kind of people. FRIENDS. Lucky me, I won that event, my first time ever at a track. I was hooked and I remained hooked to this day. Was it winning that hooked me? Not really, it was the people. It was just us guys and girls hanging out talking about cars and about this and about that. Its what Im all about, just trying to have a good time.
Ive been to several LX events around the country to include the Shindig, NHDave/Bipto's New Hampshire BBQ, LX & Beyond Nationals in Columbus, Carlisle and more Englishtown meets than I can remember. Im lucky enough to be part of a great group here local to me, LILX (Long Island LX) club. Its the same everywhere, good people.
I talk to someone from the forums every single day. Between daily phone calls to Erik and Will, the chat room gossip with Justin, Rob, Robert and Mike, and the private messages, its become a major part of my life. Every time I need help, I know I can get it on these forums. Whether it be for my car or for anything, I know that one of my LXForums FRIENDs will be there for me. For that, I thank you all and its my honor to be your LX member of the month.
These are great pictures of my kids right after I bought my car, and my kids (notice the new addition) today. A little impromptu photo but its pretty amazing how far we've come.

In case you didn't get what I was trying to say.... Its not about the vendors or the car parts or the pictures or the racing or the lambo doors or the best paint or the best CAI. To me its about:
FRIENDS
