I noticed that when I hit a small bump that I feel a clunk in the front end, it seems to be on the right, I have looked but cannot seem to find anything obvious, it feels like it may be in the stearing, I also have noticed a little pull to the left. I also notcied one of the removable plugs in the right front fender well was missing, I replaced it, but still gotta clunk.
Any ideas?

Had the same clunk when hitting bumps and was most noticeable at low speeds. Dealer checked it out and replaced the tension struts. Clunk go bye-bye after that.

fnkychkn, is there a way to check if that is the defective part? Mine started to do the same today, went under grab that part but no movement by hand. Maybe i should try to pry it with a bar and see if it move.

Found the source of my front end noise, not suspension/direction related at all. It was the brake pads anti rattle clips. See here http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75858&highlight=changing+your+brakes

I didn't make it to the clunk stage. I decided to have both of mine replaced when I found the rubber bushings on both sides cracked. They redesigned them after the '05s apparently cause the replacements are different than the stock units. No rubber.

thats what it was on my car, well just the brake pads
the adheisive they use (crc brake quiet) that is tacky and holds the pads to the caliper, wears off/breaks down causing the pads to rattle in the caliper..
the fix for me was simply cleaning up the pads and rotors, and re-applying crc brake quiet to the back of the pads, set the pads back in the caliper and firmly pressing the brakes for about a minute to sandwich the crc brake quiet between the caliper and pads , let it set for about 15 minutes for het crc brake quiet to fully dry and the noise was gone, but the noise is returning, but i need to replace my front pads anyway , so i will do that with all new rattle clips and crc brake quiet...

hum, how many miles you got bookeem? I have outragous pedal pulsation when stopping, I had looked at the pads, and they look barely worn at 47K, and the rotors are not noticably warped, though it feels like it, I am wondering if is a loose pad. it does sound like a heavy clunk though. I'll have to check, I purchased the 100K drivetrain warrenty that also included steering, a/c and a bunch of suspension stuff, hopefully the torsion bars are included.

i have just under 45,000 right now but had them replaced around the 25,0000 mile mark, and beleive me the pads are heavy enough to make a solid clunk in the caliper, i confirmed it was the same noise by just hitting the caliper with the brake pad, (the backing, not the pad material) and sure enough it was hte same sound i was hearing..

Is it just me or is this entire Mercedes suspension design overly complicated and leaves way too many points of failure. I've never seen a car with so much sh*t attached to the knuckle. Jeez...
