Hey guys im just wondering if anyone else has run into the current problem im having with my 300c.

I have had the car for 6 months, ran great up until the weather started warming up. Now there is a squeeking noise coming from what i believe to be the steering wheel. Everytime i go over a bumb at fast or slow speeds it squeeks. I then adjusted the steering wheel almost to the top of where the max level is up wards and the squeeking calmed down for about 1 day. Now its back at it. Its perfectly fine when on a smooth road but once it gets bumpy its very noticible. Any suggestions??

And thank you for the time.

I don't think it has anything to do with your steering wheel.

There are a bunch metal retainer clips that hold the dash pad closest to the windshield down. A lot people have had this problem (myself and my brother included). Over time these can become loose and will rattle around in their receiver. It makes for a really intermittent squeak.

There is a thread about it somewhere, but I need to search for it.

This guy doesn't deal with the items that I mentioned but he's talking about the same piece of plastic, but I know there is another thread on LX forums that deals specifically with those metal retainer clips. Maybe someone else can chime in on it.

I've seen some ditch the metal retainer clip and use some felt wrapped around the molded plastic tab that comes out of the pad

the trim pieces might look a little different but I would imagine they are similar in the way they connect.

I took mine to the dealership under warranty, they fixed and it was awesome for a few months but all the potholes caused by the spring thaw ruined their work.
