If turning my stock rotors doesn't fix a problem I'm dealing with, I'm thinking of doing a COMPLETE upgrade with the Brembo SRT-8 package.

Does anyone have a good part source and could you provide a ballpark price for the whole set-up with shipping?

Thanks

Look to Cleveland Pick-a-Part. They are a vendor here. But the money you spend for a set of take-offs and the extra parts you will need to make it fit onto an RT will not be insubstantial.

There's a 'new' option out there. Actually its an old one with a new twist. A lot of guys have Wilwood big brake upgrades. Its the lowest cost of the big brake sets and it is still very high quality. ToddTCE offers a Stage 1 kit that uses the stock rotors. Very inexpensive as these things go. Buy that and then buy a set of SRT rotors from a Dodge dealer.

The SRT front rotors are a hair over 14" in diameter, and a touch thicker than 1.25". Thats the same size as big-brake, big-cost aftermarket rotors. Except they only cost $85 (less if your dealer discounts them... I paid $61 for mine).

No one has done it yet with SRT rear rotors on a Wilwood caliper, but it works like a charm on the fronts. You could always do the full Wilwood setup in the back and you'll still save a bundle.

One other Q:

With one of the caliper kits & SRT rotor / Brembo option, can I still use my stock wheels until I can upgrade to a wider wheel? Are there any clearence issues?

If I'm not mistaken, you will not be able to use your stock RT wheels with the SRT Brembo upgrades. You will have issues with the calipers hitting the wheels. I've done the SRT Brembo upgrade but I already have the stock SRT wheels. You can get the whole kit from Cleveland Pick a Part for under or at 2K if they have any.

Will I run into the same problem with Wilwood or Todd TCE setup?

I saw what appeared to be a complete Cleveland Brmbo set up for around $1800. Will that take care of everything or will I need other parts?

Don't have the dough right now for wheels and brakes. Thought I'd start with the brakes first but I may have to go the other way.

In addition to the pm, you may wish to do a search for "wilwood" and read the thread on 2007 Charger as well as the two thread in the "At The Track" section of late. Both discuss some of the options for you as well as first hand accounts of all aspects of how best to pick some parts for you intended use.
