I have an 2007 Daytona, and I need to lower my ride about 1 1/2in. but I have the novi shocks so Just adding springs ant going to work. I don't have a lot of $$$ I was hopeing to spend around $800.
At one time I bought some SRT8 springs, then to find out they have the same ride hight in the rear as my daytona.
What do you guys recomend? Do the part stores sell replacement shocks and then I could just add a lower spring?? Thanks mike

BEST as you stated is not always budget oriented.
For the BEST, you buy the KW Variant 2 coilovers. You can set your ride height on all four corners. You can set the ride comfort from uber-soft to NASCAR stiff and everything in between.
For your budget, you may have to settle for the Eibach springs. Not adjustable (so hope it ain't too low) and the ride isn't nearly as good as the KW's. It is nice, but not adjustable so you better hope you like how they feel. I don't like the cheap ricer-bounce I have seen with these things myself. Many Eibach owners eventually swapped out to the KW's, so that probably tells you something.
Contact HHP (in our forum sponsors selling area) and you'll get the best price. Remember... calling them gets you a better deal than what is advertised on their website.

Well since you have the Nivomats you will need new springs and dampers (shocks). Check around for the best price of the Eibach Pro System. It comes with everything you need.
I just recently installed it in my 05 Magnum and it really does ride very close to stock. My wife cant even tell the difference.

For about $500-$600 I can get you a pair of fixed damping AFCO racing shocks to put on the rear. Leave the stock springs in place, and the rear of your car will drop about an inch. If you ever want to change them to coilovers, you just buy a pair of springs for another $130 and you then have full rear ride height adjustment capabilities.

I'd recommend a set of ST's. They're probably a bit outside your budget, but you should be able to sell the Nivomats which should bring you back into budget... assuming you'd self install anyway.

I know air system rock, but do they drag?? LOL will my car slow down on the drag strip?
I know the complet kit is cool, but way out of my price range. I was thinking I could just add a storage tank and fill it up at the gas stashions.
What do you guys think? Mike

Why make it so difficult to get around the obvious inconvenience that those might cause you?
Get the KW's, set your own ride height, and be done with it. Install price is also FAR lower than the install price of any air ride system....

last thread i read on KW was everyone bitching about a noisy rear end because of faulty bushings that were a bitch to get replaced under warranty because there customer service is a joke
eibach will give you what they are designed for i had the sportlines with pro dampers and that thing handles like a little go cart....they also make a nice coilover now...
air ride is great set the hight however you want from a little switch in the car...the install is a piece of cake i did it all by myself with a floor jack and some jack stands...pretty cheap install in my book...

You can get the Eibach Pro-Kit (includes springs and dampeners) from Tirerack.com for $600. Most places charge that for just the Eibach dampeners.

This is what I went with. I love it, it rides very much like stock. It is a very, very good deal considering all you get with it.

ST looks like they make a pretty nice coilover. Says they are made by the same folks that make KW. I was about to buy those when I found a used set of KW's for cheaper. They even come in Sublime.

I don't know if others have had the same problem but my eibach's sagged after about 2 years from the original 1.3 inches to allmost a 3" drop. They replaced the spring under warrenty but add the replacement and allignment cost to that.

If Im going to speend the $$ I want it to handle better. The stiffer spring rate and lower center of gravity will improve your handling some. But to get a major improvement you will want to swap out those sways like Marc said.

I did it myself in the garage!!

Well it certainly doesnt bounce all over the road. It does "handle" better than stock, but it does not ride bouncy or rough at all. The ride is very smooth, like stock. I did not want a bouncy, teeth jarring ride out of my 25K vehicle!

Our touring package will address your handling, lower the center of gravity. Have not risk of rough ride as it will be better. This also includes the bumpsteer correction bush that will allow your Charger to become more predictable in turns.

The shocks and springs made the biggest difference when we installed them on our Charger R/T.

If your only looking to drop it an inch or two, consider swapping over to a used SRT8 suspension best bang for the buck on a Daytona!
