View Full Version : Problems putting SRT8 wheel on RT?

Hi, I have an 07 sublime and I just got a set of SRT8 rims for my ride, I have not yet lowerd my ride, But when I back up my car now makes a clicking sound. What gives if this common with SRT8 rims on RT?
Also WIll my 20" chrome clads fit on SRT8s?? Thanks Mike

did you put a 3mm spacer on the front?

NO?? I guess I need to? If so I would like to add a spacer to the rear to make the rear stick out more than the front, How big go you guys go with out couseing problems?? Thanks mike Where do you get your spacers?

Hey you can run the 3mm spacer or just polish the spindle off in the one spot it touches (that's what I did, it took very little to get right).
The sound is the Tire weight coming around on the bead and rubbing as it passes the spindle, and should only happen backing up, wheels turned.
SRTs have a different spindle, and consequently offset, due to the Brembos, but it is a very small difference easy to correct.
