I know factory 18's use 225 50 18. I am running 18x8.5 and I wanted to know if anyone has run 235 55 18. There isnt much of a revs issue.

You might consider Kumho Ecsta SPT 245/50R 18. It will be 27.6 inches diameter.
Your choice tire 235/55R 18 is about 28.2 inches diameter.
If you still have good ground clearance, the 245/50R 18 might be a tire size that better accomodates your 8.5" wide rims.
Aren't OEM R/T tires 225/60R 18? They are 28.6 inches diameter.

On second thought, I'd guess most members would suggest 255/55R 18.
It is slightly taller than OEM, but the width would nicely accomodate those rims.

A 245x55x18 is exactly the same height as the stockers..................

Yes, the stock size is a 60 series.

IMO the only drawback of 255/55R-18's on stock wheels is that the wheels are slightly too narrow for the 10inch (255mm) wide tread of the tires for the optimal appearance.
Also, the tire diameter of the 255/55R-18 (29.0 inches) gives you an effectively taller gear than the stock 225/60R-18 (28.6 inches), thus a slightly slower car out of the hole.
