I had planned on buying a set of Forge-Tec FT34's when my tires need replacing later this year, but it appears Forge-Tec has abandoned the LX market. I contacted Mopar Supercenter to find out what tires came with the Forge-Tec wheels they sell on their web site. The reply I got was that the wheels were no longer available for LX vehicles.

When you visit the Forge-Tec web site, they still have LX vehicles in the photo gallery. However, they do not list any wheels for Dodge/Chrysler vehicles at all. http://www.forge-tec.com/

I tried to email them but the emails are returned as undeliverable.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on at Forge-Tec?

Ok, I just talked to Forge-Tec. Bottom line on why they discontinued the LX wheels is as I guessed, low sales volume. To quote the guy I talked to, "The sales seem to be in the high end vehicles, Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, etc." However, the Forge-Tec web site shows they still sell wheels for GM, Nissan, and Toyota SUVs.

He said sales of wheels for LX vehicles began to decline a couple of years ago. I reminded him that the Challenger was about to hit the market, but he did seem to be impressed.

He also said they did not have any old inventory in stock for LX's and no plans for reintroduce LX wheels.

I really had my heart set on the FT34 Forge-Tecs but now I'll have to go elsewhere. Most other wheel manufacturers seem to have a good selection.

Anyone have any experience with Centerline forged wheels?
