Today I went over to Smokey's house to help me remove his front bumper to remove his drive side headlights to see why his Halo's was not working. Guess what, his ballast for his Halo's had heat damage, so we disided to remove the pess. side headlight and found the same. So we looked at the foglights and the foglights ballast look fine. This make #5 with him having probloms with his headlight Halo's. I think that the problem maybe that the ballast can not handle running the High and low beam Halo's from the same ballast. The only reason for think this is because the foglight halo's only have one ring on each ballast and the headlight have 2 rings per ballast and the headlight are the only ones with heat damage. Needless to say Smokey is piping mad. He is so mad we reinstalled his factory headlights and removed all the wiring (http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1224711#) for them. Even for the foglights. So mad he is taking out his foglights and going back to stock there also.

On a good note the foglight halo's have no problems and I got dibs on his foglights with Halo's and they have never had any problems.

I want Halo's for my 300C (http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1224711#) but I think I will wait to get mine until he get his back from AAC and fine out why the ballast is heating up like this. The halo's cost to much in my oppinion to get them and have to keep removing the bumper and having the problems he is having.

On another good note I learned how the troubleshoot HID's problems while helping Smokey when His HID's went out. Have anyone else had the same issue with the ballast for there Halo's?

Here are some pics for the Halo Ballast

Try the inverters from Focuz Tech...............everyone I know running Focuz Tech Halos/inverters have had no problems...............on the other hand a few local guys have had problems with the AAC Inverters crapping out.............

There are well documented issues with the Inverters the AAC uses if you want to search around here........................

I run the Focuz Tech Devil EyeSS Halos and am quite happy with the product and service.

AAC has since went with different inverters. So hopefully that will clear up some of those problems..
