I'm putting CSRT8 wheels on my RT Magnum. I know I need 3mm spacers on the front hubs, but is there any reason to add them to the rear as well? I mean, will the added offset up front look strange without doing the same to the rear?

Oh, and where should I go to get the spacers and which ones are best?

it's 3mm

you won't even notice the offset..

no reason for them in the rear..

You don't need them in the rear.

I don't run any spacers with SRT wheels.

The only thing that was tight was not the Wheel, but any balancing weights on the inside. They only touch when turning the wheel full while backing up.

I did polish about .005" off one part of the spindle where the weight could touch, in the backup in reverse situation, and never had any further issues.

how did you get the shaving done? i got 10 inch wheels in front. i got the 3mm spacers and still get the rubbing when backing up with steering turned.

i'ld be happy to grind that thing and take off the spacers but i cant find anyone to do it.

well if u don't want the front sticking out more then the back, then u should add the spacers to the rear

I have the CSRT wheels on my mag. I only used the spacers in the front. I still get that god awful noise when I am backing up with the wheel fully turned. It is just something to live with due to the front steering geometry.

They do look f'n awesome on the mag though:rock: and with the larger F1 tires she corners so much better!!

Isn't that "God awful" sound just the inner wheel weights hitting the control arm?

its definitely not noticable.

i run 10" wheels all around with the 3mm spacers in front and u cannot tell except i inform u. my car looks like it cannot be bagged without any major fender adjustment.

y put spacers(that are not naturally part of the car) when you dont need to? i hav spacers in front not by choice and if i had to choose, no spacers ever.

i just dont understand y u'll want them if you dont need them. except u like the tires sticking out.

well if u don't want the front sticking out more then the back, then u should add the spacers to the rear

I just put on SRT wheels on my RT and I did find that the front will rub when reversing with the wheel fully turned.

The tire store put on some 3mm spacers (lug centric) for me but also replaced the original wheel weight with stick ons.

But when I go past 100kph, the steering wheel has this vibration.

Now I'm thinking: do I still need the spacers with the stick on weights or should I get the hub centric spacers?

Any advice?

I'm no expert, but I've read several posts claiming the spacers induce vibration. Good hubcentric spacers (like Bones) apparently don't have that problem.
