I never had any wheels bigger then 18" and I just got some 22's for my charger rt, and i have a few questions. First is the ride real harsh? Have any of you experience alot of flat tires or bent wheels? Have you lost alot of power since the 22" are heavier then the stock wheels? How much do your 22" weight with the tires mounted onto them? Has your mpg gone down? If so, by how much? Do you have any pics of your 22's on your car?

i had 20"s on my camry-ride sucked with 35 profile tiress.
got 22"s on my magnum- rides still sucks with 265/35 tires. and i went for pirellis hopin it would be nicer than the rest.
u can feel every bump in my car. Have any of you experience alot of flat tires or bent wheels?- no problem with flats. but i bent the lip on my front passenger tire in new youk this past weekend. new york roads suk. u should not have that problem in this area Have you lost alot of power since the 22"- i did not race before my wheels, i got a best time of 14.5 with my stock magnum on my 22"s at E-town are heavier then the stock wheels? How much do your 22" weight with the tires mounted onto them?i dunno how much my wheels weigh Has your mpg gone down? not noticably. i still get over 20mpg on the highway If so, by how much? Do you have any pics of your 22's on your car?

Is the ride Harsh.?.No(as long as you don't look for the bumps and holes to drive over, your driving habits will have to change with bigger wheels(bigger wheels which means smaller tire)...Alot of people drive with bigger wheels, drive like they still have their little 17's or 18's).. Plus it depends on what size tires you are running..What size..?Normally a 265/35/22 is standard for a 22' not unless it is a staggered wheel..
No flats or bend wheels...Doing cold weather(same with any tire) you might lose a little press..I use Nitrogen in my tires now to avoid the hassle..
**Link on Nitrogen** http://www.getnitrogen.org/ No bend wheels either like I said earlier don't look for Bumps and Holes to drive over...
Losing power with Bigger/Heavier wheels will always come about(not unless they are 3 piece Forged Wheels, which still adds a little more weight..) Compared to my stock wheels(20's on my SRT) they are alot heavier..Its like night and day..I'm running 22' Staggered Wheels 22x9 in front and 22x10.5 in rear...I don't sweat the weight difference thou because I only wear the Big Wheels if the weather is nice and I just want my Mag to look and feel good..Don't get me wrong she will still pull and run like a bat out of hell but I can still tell she has lost at least 20hp with the bigger wheels..I put my factories on or DR's on when I feel like stepping on the gas a little harder that day or if I have a race(at the track )...
I think my Wheels and tires mount on the car with 34psi in the tires are like 68lbs. each..
Mpg..I don't even pay that no mind since I'm a Heavily Modded SRT,I think I get like 9mpg thou til I get tuned..That might change a little..Plus I've got a Charger R/T to drive for the long hauls to save on gas...
Hope this helps..BTW these cars look insane with bigger wheels

comparing from my first Magnum...since SRT is a whole diff story w/wheels
my ride quality got better actually from 17's to 22's
never had a flat tire or bent a wheel, you get a cheap wheel or riding thru DC w/o a care then yea, expect it
my take-off wasnt as quick but that was the only difference in wheels height/weight
MPG's really didnt change
here's a pic of my first Mag on 22x9.5 w/265/35/22 with a Eibach 3" drop...

i thought i would not get a bent wheel too until last weekend.
if you ever drove in and around the bronx in new york, u'll know how easy it is to bend the wheels.
i was going like 50mph on the highway when it happend. pothole was not even noticable.
i thank God its just the lip and barely noticable.
talking about that, i should go check the other tires.

Lovin the look of those wheels Ghostface! Also... that asymmetrical racing stripe is hot!
I'm rocking 22"s as well and noticed a slight decrease in performance but I feel I gained it all back with my new Diablo Predator canned tune. I have forged 3 piece wheels and they didn't feel much heavier than the stockers but I never officially weighed them. Gas mileage has stayed the same for me. 14-20 mpg depending on what I'm doing.
20" wheels are a great compromise since they fill up the wheel-well nicely and yield better performance (Kept the stockers for that very reason) but the 22" wheels sure do look good.
