I am very glad i was able to finally have installed today the Magnum SRT struts an springs I have had on hand, on my '06 Magnum R/T. No question the car handles a lot better.

I had the tires changed on Tuesday for a set of BFG KDWS 245/55/18s, and already had installed a DC Motorsports strut tower brace, so the combination of the three mods make my control of the car much better.

The ride is firmer, so road surface defects are transmitted to occupants and cargo but the higher level of control is very desirable, the car feels much more responsive and nimble for a two ton beast, and my wife has noticed the improvements as well.

I really want to have the car Pedderized at least as far as bushings go, then I would decide if anti-sway bar change was needed. I don't want to go to the expense of a Hotchkis anti-sway bar install, if the bigger bars are not needed after a Pedders bushing change.

Any LX owner in the San Fernando Valley, or in Socal needing a shop for suspension work, I can highly recommend Mikes Alignment in North Hollywood, he came recommended by the Tire Rack. My charge for the struts and spring change, icluding front and rear alignment was $280.00 for about 3hrs work, which I consider quite reasonable.

Best,
Michael

As along you don't drive down a wash board dirt road, the ride won't be to harsh.

I have a SRT setup on my SE.

Have you driven a car with the Hotchkis sways? I would say the sway bars made at least as much improvement, absolutely flat cornering. The ride will be about the same, except driving over very bumpy pavement .

I don't feel much comfort has been sacrificed, at least not enough to outweigh the improvements in handling.

I don't usually frequent washboard dirt roads, but some of our paved roads such as I-5 in Sun Valley through Burbank are close.

I haven't driven a Hotchkis equipped car, but my point was if I have the Pedders bushes installed, the Hotchkis bars would perhaps be overkill due to them being larger than needed after the play taken out of the suspension by the Pedders bushes. Then I would have wasted money on bars that would have to be replaced anyway. I haven't driven a Pedderized Magnum either.

I think the stock sway plus the DC bar would be all you need as far as the front anti sway goes. You just need a better sway for the rear. And someone is coming out with that very soon. A tower mount for the rear.
