Yeah I know, acting like a kid on xmas.
Thanks to BBMagnumRTAJ and the great deal that he gave me, "Jammin" will be sporting some Eibach sportlines. When talking to AJ, asking about how his shocks help up, he offered me his old RT ones for free. And when I PM him back for the additional amount of the weight for the shocks, I got this back. "Dont worry about it, im just glad its out of my garage!"
All I can say is One Helluva Guy!!
As of 1pm they are in Casper, 2 hours away. Yipeeee!
Well here is Jammin before the drop.

Congrats. I've got a set of sportlines sitting in my garage right now, but I'm debating on whether or not I should sell them because I really want to get coilovers but would have to save up for a while to get them. Either way the earliest I would be able to install them would be early May.
Be sure to post up some pics after you get done installing them.

I was going to wait til May when the tax stimulus time comes around to get the dampners. But since I the luxury of a auto hobby shop and will be doing it myself all it costs me is time and about $20 to do it. Hopefully they can do an alignment check to see which alignment kits I need and then I will put the A-kit on with the new dampners.
Well they hit Cheyenne at 5:05am. This is almost worst than when I was a kid and the news used to do "Santa Tracking" hahaha.

Camber is the only issue , but it's not too far out of spec. Just a lil FYI , they state 2" drop , but expect 2.25" - 2.5" after settling. I love mine , but sometimes the speed bumps get me.

Since I bought them used hopefully they will be settled in for the most part. This way I can get used to being lowered. Last night when I came home from work I looked around and forsee lots of cussing haha.
First day of spring, Springs coming in & my wiper arm is in (yahoo now i will be able to see out of BOTH sides of the windshield haha). Now if santa is nice, the side skirts would be ready for pickup from paint when I go to get the wiperarm.
Dressed, camera ready, camcorder for fun, keys in hand, now I know how Cartman felt waiting for the WWii to come in.

Enjoy them.
Little to low with my winter 235 50 18's, but worked and looked great with my 255/55-18
Upgraded to the SRT-8 suspension, and it looks good enough.
Got some 20's a few weeks ago, and with the SRT-8 suspension looks good.

Well its 2:35, still no springs!! Seems they have only two guys that make the deliveries. What really stinks is I went to the office that the drivers load up from yesterday and tried to talk them into keeping it there until I picked them up this morning. I took the day off hoping that they be on the morning run. Last time I got something from UPS it was after 6pm.
Just got a call that the side skirt is done, so all need is springs.

I had a thought of "OK how do i know if I put them on the right way?"
Luckily they are marked F/R and I called Eibach to be sure about rightside or upsoide down. You just make sure the writing is right side up. EASY! hahaha
Ok now really going.

The friggin top A-arm ball joint capture NUT blew its self out when it was removed. Call Dodge, Parts is closed at friggin 5 o'clock!!!

I HATE CHEYENNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wasnt is a good mood to start with then I had to have the 800 year old auto hobby shop tech show me the coil compressor and getting getting attitude from him because
I was lowering the car.
"You know the car won't be able to get on our lifts if its lowered". I know.
15 min later
"You know that you will need to get it aligned afterwards". I KNOW.
20 min later
"You cant take it to any alignment shop, they may not be able to get the car on the lift". I KNOW!
10 min later
"Blah Blah Blah" (wasnt paying attention). Listen, I thank you for the help. I don not have to justify
myself to you or anyone else. You are not my father, even if you were, it would not matter.
This is my car and I will do damn well what I please to it. So please if you cant think of anything
helpful leave me alone. Thank you.
I had the same thing when I lowered my 2 wheel '95 S-10 and took it to the alignment shop. I was outside
the bays and over heard the tech "why would someone ruin a perfectly good truck with 500 miles on it".
Needless to say, I went to the manager and got a different tech to work on the truck.
Ok ranting over!

Oh yeah here is what the spring looks like on the shock
http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff46/JamminWagon/Exterior/springs/DSC00300.jpg
Oh yeah, the 800 year old fart told me during the dissesmbly of the stock spring "remember the way the tower cap is pointing when you put it back together"
I did and didnt realize that the new srpings are wound different. So when I went to put it on, the swaybar link tab didnt line up, so I had to take it apart
and line the damn thing up.

Ok Only did the fronts. Went to Dodge and looked for the nut, not in stock anyway.
We went looking around the work shop to see if any of the tech's had one laying around. Nope, but was told to use a 12mmx1.75 Lock nut (ones with the plastic inside. Went to Lowes and found the exact nut! $1.74 for 2.
The auto hobby shop rep would not let me do the rears by using a jack to support lower control arm, remove the bolt and slowly release the jack til the spring is loose. Since this is a military base's auto hobby shop we have to be extra careful for liability issues. So I can kinda understand the hesitation. To do it there I need a spring compressor (their's was broke) and a safety chain incase the thing decides to pop out.
Anyway here are some pics.

Did you use the spring compressor with the 2 rods and hooks? Also did you get the rear camber adjusters? Or did you do the rake only.

OMG, I have almost the same story from my pro-kit install last weekend.
I can completely relate to the 800 year old hoby shop worker. I will wait till I get pics to go into details but I spent most of my time in there looking for the tools. I even had pictures printed and they still couldn't find me the tools. Out of the 5 hrs I was there, I probably only worked 2 hrs.
Looks great, cant wait to see the rear lowered.

good job man...so which to get guys the the pro kit or sport line???
Basically you have 3 choices for springs
Mopar 1" (rumoured to be made by Eibach)
Eibach Pro-Kit 1.3"
Eibach 2"
There are other brands out there, They may be just as good, but with my lil exposure to the spring game, I stuck to a name I know.
The more you drop it, the more off the alignment will be. Unfort, the front camber is limited in adjustment. There are kits out there but it involves replace the upper control arm and run about $260. The rears are a lil better, $60. I didnt get a chance to call Eibach and see which of the 2 kits they offer would be the best choice without installing the springs then seeing how much they are off then order the correct kit. This is one reason I am waiting to put the rears on.

What a pain in the butt. Just got back, g/f PO'd (supposed to gone to dinner an hour ago). Took me 6 hours to do the rears. Did I say I will never ever do rears again! Here are some quick pics.

If the weather is good, I will go to the same spot as the other pics.
If I could afford the bigger tires and wheels I would go raked. To me the raked look is reserved for the Muscle cars, and with the V6 I would consider myself a poser. But to each their own.

I used a spring compressor on the first one and said screw it on the second one. Our springs are so small that I couldnt get the outside compressor on. So bact to autozone I went for the inside compressor. I had to take one of the clips off and then reassemble the the clip while it was inside the spring, then thread the pull bolt afterwards. The hole in the lower control arm wasnt big enough to put the compressor in normally. I was so mad that I didnt take any pics, I probably would have thrown the camera.
Well here are the pics I promised from my usual spot. I did do some retouching to take out the mail boxes and stop signs.
Oh yeah did the slim front license plate mod that one of the other members did here too.

This is what my tech said too. all his tools to make the job easier would fit this "POS Mercedes designed suspension" (in so few words).
Not to mention, with my SRT-8 setup, the rear nivomats were hard to compress before you put them in there.
Glad you have everything installed fine now. looking good too!
