*** Pedders Event March 30, 2008 ***

All LX series get together in Fairfield. We will have demos, possibly a auto cross if the interest is high enough, some demos and suspension comparisons, contests on best looking, best mechanical, and best over vehicles. We will be having a barbecue all day. any proceeds from the barbecue and food, will go to the Make a wish foundation. It will be sometime in march so lets start this thread and get your name on it to get the info going. We can handle 150-200 vehicles easily

It will be in Fairfied, right off of highway 80 by Travis. We are in California


i am very pleased by the amount of emails that I have recieved in support of a LX get together. this could be a rather huge event.
Here are some of my goals for our March get together:
1. Become familair with the LX community and offer a community meeting of fun and show and tell, and introduce myself and services
2. Allow LX members to show off their vehicles and allow the LX community to choose the best of the best mechically prepared, best looking, and best overall LX vehicle
3. Introduce the most sophisticated suspension system for the LX in the world, and i am not exaggerating. We have installed complete systems on many test vehicles and will be doing a big business with emergency response and first persuit LX vehicles accross the country. Our first police persuit vehicle was done in Arizona. The sherrif told us the Pedders upgrade "will reduce accidents and safe lifes" Our suspension system alone reduced the 60-0 stopping by 6-7 feet, and significantly increased the G forces on a controlled skid pad, while using OEM tires

My goals are simple here and want to select a LX vehicle to show car to all and do it at a 50% off parts and labor. I will have this community submit why they should be my test vehicle to the LX community in the SF Bay Area. But first the requirements:
1. You must have a Hemi. the reason is the Hemi represents a fantastic performance power plant and our Pedders system will allow you to utulize the power of Hemi more than any other suspension system in the world.
2. You must be a very active member of this forum. Why? I expect you to give a 100% accurate description of the before and after driving experiences, and the level of service DMS will offer. Notice I did not say give me and Pedders, glowing reviews. I want honesty, specifics, and accuracy. I have driven our fully Pedderized Hemi Chargers, and it is way more than a night and day difference. the LX has one of the most sophiscated suspension systems built. The problem is, like most domestic manufacturers, the suspension system is dummied down, unlike european sports cars, to satisfy the grammas of the world. The Hemi vehicles have very little suspension improvements over a stock LX vehicle.
3. Pedders offers literally a complete suspension upgrade. There 32 sets of bushings that we make improvements on. Plus, many of you have dropped your LX vehicles. but when doing this, creates some potentially serious suspension geometry issues, and in some cases, some inferior coil springs that offer way to little active coils, and give you significant coil bind, thus adding serious stress to a lot of other suspension components, not to mention serious reductions in ride quality.. We have solutions to everything, including complete 4 wheel alignment capability, and offer replacements for every soft rubber OEm bushing in the vehilce, plus a set of sway bars, custom designed to match the performance improvements of all the bushes, springs, struts.
4. i want honesty. I am so confident in what I have accomplished in the GTO community, I know I can accomplsih the same extremely high level of improvement in the LX community. So I do not need to ask you to give me positive reviews. Just give the truth, and I already know what the reviews will be
5. You must allow me to have your vehicle for 5 working days. I have been trained in the LX, and I will use your vehicle as a one on one training vehicle with my Pedders tech. All bushings, struts and springs, sway bars, etc, plus a custom alignment will be performed at a 50% reduction in cost.
6. You will be required to have your vehicle at our March event as a education vehicle, and would request that you give other LX members demo rides.
7. I would request, but not require that you be present at other DMS events.
8. You must be in the SF Bay area
9. You MUST be a real driving enthusiast. Your vehicle will be worthy of autocrossing and tracking, and still maintaining a very high level of ride quality. having experience in these 2 areas would be a benifit, but is not required

Pedders will offer multiple systems, from basic drops, to full blown systems worthy of autocrossing and tracking, and several steps in between.. but the system I will give the 50% off must a complete system. Not all the prices have been established yet, but will be in the next 2-3 weeks. Our top of the line system will will have a retail value of somewhere in the $5500 to $6000 and will take about 20-25 hours to install, and will involve the replacement of the struts, lowering performance springs, sway bars, and every suspension bushing in your car. Again there are over 32 sets of bushes in your LX. You will get the install and parts at 50% off. We featured our complete pedders systems for the LX at Sema and impressed everyone, including a lot of Chrysler employees

so if you are interested, email me or just post why you should by my test vehicle and I will select it sometime in january. i would expect the install to be done either at the end of Jan, or in Feb.

I would agree, that is a small parking lot for an autocross course, but you never know. BTW - the arrow on the link is pointing to a Chevy Dealer, I assume we will be in the parking lot next door (office buildings)?

Also, I think I have the wife talked into bringing her car so we may have 2 cars coming to the party, along with our little Mopar mascott (daughter). She is only 3-1/2 and loves Daddy's fast car. You should have seen her after the new audio system went in, she loves the bass! Louder, faster daddy...you gotta love it. :rock:

Okay. That's right in my neck of the woods.
There is an office parking lot right there on the NE corner of Hillborn and Martin road.
But the entry ways might be a bit steep for some of our lowered vehicles with spoilers on em'.
I will scope that out a bit closer to see for sure and get back to everyone.
I will take a drive around that area on Wednesday and get a better idea (I'm working swing shift until then).

There is a Chevy and a Ford dealership I think right there.
I don't drive on that road too often but I can't imagine that there is room for an Autocross course there.

As for a M&G what did you have in mind. Something like the Sonic meets that we were having?
There is a Country Breakfast joint that has a pretty large parking lot at Texas and Airbase Parkway. Maybe we make it a 10am meet for some breakfast?
There are also 2 large strip mall type parking lots on Texas and Airbase Parkway with a Burger King there and several fast food joints just down the street.
There is also a Starbucks and Panda Express just down the street in the other direction.

Let me know what you have in mind and I might be able to come up with other location ideas.

Just got off the phone with Mike from Pedders.

Couple things to note.
There is no longer the 3000 dollar package. It was a one time deal and someone got it.
There will not a an autocross.
There will be pelnty of chances to drive an outfitted LX with Pedders gear installed so you can tell how good it feels.

Mike also let us know to be there at 10AM that Sunday.

As for traffic? I'm not really on the freeways all that much on Saturday & Sunday but I would think not too much in the AM.

That would be the choice lot right on the main street there.

That shopping center parking lot is very tight and always crowded.
So much so that I only go into it when I am forced to go to the Blockbuster there.

The office buildings would be better as long as that is not where the event is going to be.

There was a parking lot being prepped past the dealerships truck sales. It was relatively small for 150- 200 vehicles stated in the beginning of this thread but, maybe this is it? The drive is not as steep but could be a problem for lowered vehicles.

The event is at the Fairfield Chevy dealership as they are the Pedders authorized installer. I believe the event will be in the parking lot in front of the second building which does have a really steep drive right before it. I scraped coming out of it in a rental car the other day. I think the first entrance way is not too bad as long as there is a path to get to the other side of the dealership.

I was so pleased to meet all of you in Fairfield yesterday. My only regret is that I was soooooo busy, I did not have mich opportunity to really check out all of your fantastic rides!!, The creative juices that all of you have are very impressive!!

I hope everyone learned something and walked away with a great appreciation of your suspension system and things to look for.

Looking forward to another event.

If I did a autocross, how many of you do you think would like to do it? In order to break even on the costs, would probably have to have some GTOs and vettes. I did this last year and we had great success and fun.
