The Official New England Mopar Club

On April 15th, 2007 - The New England Mopar Club had its first official meet in Warwick, Rhode Island @ Hooters. Sadly, that Hooters has since closed (I understand if you need to take a moment now) however, the NEMC spirit lives on and continues to grow at a healthy rate. ***Update - Rumor has it that Hooters of Warwick has Opened its doors once again!

In response to the growing number of LXers in the New England area and the need for organization, five commonly accepted active leaders of this group have formed the NEMC Executive Board. The members of the Executive Board; Johnnyvav, Sublimetime, SublimeInMa, nhdave & CTCruzer have chosen not to have traditional officer titles but rather, to all be regarded as Executive Board Members. The primary responsibilities of the Executive Board are to help facilitate Meet & Greets and welcome new Members as well as Associates.

All affiliations with the NEMC fit into one of the following 7 categories:

Executive Board Member: The Executive Board Members primary responsibilities are to help facilitate Meet & Greets and welcome new Members + Associates.

Founding Father: Awarded to those members who participated in the first Official NEMC Meet & Greet @ Hooters in Warwick RI on 4/15/07.

Senior Member: Active Members who participate in several Meet & Greets.

Members: Are Associates that have paid $15 and received: 1 NEMC T-Shirt, NEMC Business Cards, NEMC forum signature (Early Members Purchased T-Shirt Only).

Honorary Member: Members who have participated in Major NEMC Event(s) but live too far away for active participation in local events.

Associates: Are LXers who who have attended a Meet & Greet and signed up on the NEMC contact list but have not signed up for a $15 membership.

Inactive: Was once an associate or member and can easily recover their designation upon request.

Don’t let all this official blah…blah….blah scare you! The $15 membership fee covers the cost to produce the T-Shirt, Business Cards & Forum Signature. We don’t require anyone to become a Member to attend our Meet & Greets. Our interest are solely in the desire to have fun with others who are commonly interested in Modern Mopars.

Not a bad idea really.. I'll see what I can whip up. What's I've been doing to help this along is to "sticky" the upcoming ones so they appear at the top of the NEMC section however the ones in the NE section I have no control over.

How are ya? To become a member of NEMC you have to buy all members a 25 piece order of wings at the Hooters of our choice. :doh: J/K. You can become a member by attending one of our M&G's and for the price of an NEMC shirt, you're in. I believe Tom, SublimeinMA is having some done and they will be ready soon. Look us up at NED Dragway that day and we'll hook you up.

Hey fellow New England LX'ers,

A year ago I thought I would be joining you with a Charger R/T, but then the siren song of the Challenger called to me saying, "Yes Bruce, I'll have an R/T model too..." Then, it appeared in my driveway this past November as a Hemi Orange beauty named Emily.

I'm really looking forward to the next Meet & Greet. It's been years since I attended an M&G of MOPAR owners. Of course, driving Buick station wagons for almost 20 years might explain that. I really loved my Roadmaster Wagon but it can now be found in the Shaving Goods aisle at Stop & Shop. :thumbs_u:

What's up all? I have been a lurker at NEMC for a while. I was wondering when the next M&G in CT will be? I will DEF be at Mark's Cruize Night on June 8 (as long as my car is back from 402) and will see some of you there. Due to my crazy work schedule and raising a two year old; I can't always make the out of state gatherings. I would love to meet other LX owners in New England and will meet up with everyone when I can. For info on my car, check my sig.

There is a car show and racing. We usually get a good following there. There is also Burger King on the Pike on Saturday nights. Any questions,shoot them this way.

Consider yourself joined! PM JohnnyVav your contact info and he'll get you on the member/mailing list. We usually try to get something going once a month plus a few of us hit the drag strip quite a bit as well.

We have a smattering of folks from NH, ME and VT but a large number of our active ones are from MA and CT. But then we accept members from everywhere.. :mrgreen:

Looks like you have saved Tom some time. Throw it in your your signature. Tom might even still want a pic of your car and try to do one that is a bit more detailed as i'm sure you're limited doing it in "Paint". Nice job.
