Nascar Race

If anyone cares, there is a Nascar race on Saturday night at 8/7central on Fox . It is a short (2 hour) gatorade race.

Anyone want to place bets?

Yea, it's the BUD Shootout, contains 20 drivers all either bud pole award champions FROM 2004 or past BUD shootout champions. The Gatorade Duels (500 qualifing races) are Thursday afternoon.

I couldn't believe Newman took two tires on his last stop. And still wound up second. What a move at the end to get back to second. A good race.

I was watching some of the pre race interviews that were done early Sat morning. A SHOW called "Around the Track" was interviewing a couple Dodge Charger drivers, Mayfield and McMurray. The questioning was centered about the new NASCAR Charger. As a backdrop for the drivers were two Charger R/T's, one of each color and a Black Magnum RT.

I thought it was pretty cool.

i thought that was called the Gatoraide Twin 150's. Then what is the Bud Shootout?

The Bud shootout is a 70 lap race that contains drivers who won the pole in last season plus any previous Bud Shootout champion.

The Gatorade Duels (previously Gatorade twin 125's) is the qualifing race's for the Daytona 500. The Gatorade Duels are 2 races that set up the field for the Daytona 500.
