With all of the negativity about dealers around here, I thought that I would give some public kudos to Dodge of Naperville (IL). Took my `06 Go Mango in for an oil change. Chatted with the sales manager for a couple of minutes about the car (that I bought from an LX Forums member, and not from this dealer). He was aware of the forums, and I mentioned the free auto headlight mod. He chuckled and said that even he learned some things here! I told him about the "Headlights on With Wipers" Starscan feature. Bottom line is that they did it for *NO CHARGE*. He somewhat apologetically said that he wasn't sure if it would work, since my car didn't come equipped with auto headlights, but I do appreciate the effort.

BTW, it *does* work. On the way home, with the headlight switch in phantom "auto" mode, I turned on the wipers, and by my one-Mississippi count, nine seconds later, on came the headlights! I guess that the actual time is ten seconds. Turned off the wipers, and the headlights turn off immediately.

Thanks to Dodge of Naperville, and to the great folks here at LX Forums!:pepper::banana::rock::not_worth:thumbs_u:

Thats good to hear that there are still dealers out there that value their customers. The 2 dodge dealers that I have used since I have had the maggie, there is a night & day difference in their attitude toward modified Magnums.

In the case of this dealership, most of the techs I've spoken with seem genuinely interested in the cars they work on, and as I've said, a couple even said that they visit this forum. The only "negative" discussion I can recall was when they tried to talk me out of re-installing the stock resonators behind the straight Cherry Bombs, but that, of course, is an entirely different discussion! Sure, we can re-install the resonators. But why?

That's very cool to hear! A positive experience is a good thing!

Maybe we should send an email or something to the 'Good' dealers to let them know?
Nothing like a ton of incoming mail to get your attention...
