    Need help!

was told my pcm is going bad since it keeps throwing code p2314 even after replacing the*ignition*coil and swapping the coils around. My question is will a 5.7 hemi pcm work to help me insure that it is the pcm that is going bad or does it have to be a 6.1 pcm just to make sure it is the pcm? Btw 06 300cSRT8 is what i drive. Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Does it go away after several days? How are you reading the code? Have you chekced the wiring harness and connectors for plug #7?

Nope code stays on and is accompanied by code p0305. I use the "key dance method" for the codes. Car also has a rough idle as if it had a big cam in it. Checked no rips or tears in the harness

Have you tried swapping a different coil that you know is good with the one that keeps on failing?
But as far as the pcm, it has to be programmed in order for the car to start. Otherwise it won't have software, it won't recognize your car and won't start at all.
